How DISCLOEZY Protects Client Data

1. Is DISCLOEZY compliant with legal data privacy standards?

Yes. DISCLOEZY is fully compliant with all principles of PIPEDA and is built in accordance with Canadian privacy regulations to protect client information at every step.

2. Where is client data stored?

All client data is securely stored on servers located in Eastern Canada. This ensures compliance with regional data residency requirements and avoids cross-border data transfers.

3. Does client data ever leave the platform?

No. Documents and data are never transferred or processed outside the platform. Even when using AI review, the files stay securely on DISCLOEZY’s servers.

4. Are uploaded documents encrypted?

Yes. All documents are encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols such as SSL/TLS and AES-256, ensuring data is always protected.

5. Who can access client documents?

Only authorized users on your account can access your clients’ files. Clients can only view and upload their own documents, and opposing counsel only sees files explicitly shared with them.

6. Is the AI review feature secure?

Yes. AI analysis happens via a secure API connection while the files remain on DISCLOEZY’s servers. No document is sent to or stored by the AI provider.

7. Does DISCLOEZY track document access?

Yes. DISCLOEZY maintains an internal log of document activity, including when documents are received, reviewed, or shared—supporting accountability and transparency.

8. Can documents be permanently deleted?

Yes. Legal professionals can delete documents within the platform, and DISCLOEZY ensures they are removed from the system when requested, in line with data retention best practices.

9. Does DISCLOEZY sell or share client data?

No. DISCLOEZY does not sell, rent, or share any user or client data with third parties. Your data is used solely to support secure case management.

10. How is access to sensitive information controlled?

Access is managed by user permissions and sharing settings. All external sharing (e.g., with opposing counsel) is PIN-protected and can be set to expire.
