Document Retention and Deletion Policies

1. How long does DISCLOEZY retain uploaded documents?

In line with PIPEDA guidelines, DISCLOEZY retains documents for as long as the legal professional remains on the platform. You may manually delete documents or client records at any time.


2. Who can delete documents from DISCLOEZY?

Only the legal professional who owns the file can delete it. Clients cannot remove documents once they’ve been uploaded.


3. Can I delete an individual document from a case?

Yes. Legal professionals can remove specific files from a case through the case workspace.


4. Can I delete an entire client record and all associated documents?

Yes. You can delete a client record, and all associated documents will be permanently removed from the system.


5. What happens after a document is deleted?

Deleted documents are removed from the platform immediately. For up to 7 days, they can still be retrieved from our secure backup system if needed. After 7 days, the data is permanently purged and cannot be recovered.
